Surge (1.65 lb)

Adequate nutrient supply is required for high quality hoof tissue; therefore it is important to first ensure that your horse's diet is providing all the essential nutrients required for adequate hoof growth and strength.  Additional amino acids, minerals, vitamins and Omega-3 fatty acids are often recommended for horses with poor quality feet in order to ensure that hoof tissues receive all the nutrients required for adequate growth and strength.  As many horse owners know, some horses still do not grow a hoof fast enough to maintain good hoof quality even though the horse is receiving supplements designed to improve the horse's foot.  This is often caused by inadequate blood flow to the tissues of the foot.  Mild laminitic episodes in the past, physical trauma due to use and concussion, poor conformation, or environmental conditions can all lead to reduced blood supply to hoof tissue.  Without adequate blood supply, all the nutrients you are adding to your horse's diet cannot get to the hoof tissues that require them in sufficient quantity to actually change the rate of growth or strength of the tissues.  This is where Surge can help.  Surge uses nitric oxide technology to stimulate vasodilation of the blood vessels in your horse's limbs thereby increasing blood flow to all tissues of the leg and foot.

With increased blood flow to these tissues the hoof is able to grow at a faster rate than normal and improve hoof quality simultaneously.  Surge has also been used clinically as an accessory treatment for laminitis, sesamoiditis, navicular syndrome and soft tissue injuries of the lower leg in horses.

Increase the effectiveness of your lameness treatment protocol with the inclusion of Surge Dietary supplement. Surge is an all natural proprietary blend of botanicals, functional amino acids, minerals, vitamins and anti-oxidants designed to increase blood flow in the horse’s body by helping to relax the musculature of blood vessels via production of nitric oxide in the horse’s body. Surge also provides anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant activity to help support faster cell and tissue regeneration. Nitric oxide is a proven analgesic so the use of NSAID’s such as phenylbutazone can be reduced and in many cases eliminated from the treatment protocol; even with cases involving displaced fractures. Surge Ingredients: Hawthorn Berry Powder, L-Citrulline, Beet Root Powder, Choline Bitartate, N-Aceytl-Cysteine, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, L-Glutamine, Alpha-Lipoic-Acid, Asorbic Acid (Vitamin C), dl-Alpha Tocopherol, Thiamin Mononitrate, Vitamin B-12, Niacin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Folic Acid, Stevia.
